Deborah Rhea Seehorn Bio

Deborah Rhea Seehorn, born on May 12, 1972, is an American actress. Her most well-known character is that of Kim Wexler, an attorney in AMC's Better Call Saul (2015-2018) in which she was twice awarded the Satellite Award as Best Supporting Actress (Series, Miniseries or Television Film. She's also appeared on the NBC series Whitney (2011)-2013, ABC's with Her(2003)-2004, and TNT's Franklin & Bash (2011)-2014. Deborah Rhea Seehorn, a Norfolk native was born on May 12 in 1972. Her mother was executive secretary in the United States Navy, her father was an agent for the Naval Investigative Service. The family lived in Washington, D.C., Arizona, Japan, and often moved around during her youth. Following the footsteps of her grandmother and father who were artists, she began studying painting, drawing and building from an early age. She continued to pursue the visual arts, however, she had an increasing interest in acting and was introduced into contemporary theatre in the college. She graduated from George Mason University in 1994 with a bachelor's degree in Studio Art. In college, Seehorn was looking to enter the theater industry, thanks to the encouragement from her acting professor. She took on a variety of assistant roles within the theater industry in D.C. to try to make her stand out. While she was eventually able to land major roles in local theater productions and had to take on odd jobs in order to make ends meet and make ends meet, she continued to work in the film industry as a teacher filmmaker. In the next few years, she became part of more television productions. It was common for her to be compared to Bea Arthur, whom was described by her as "very humorous," "sarcastic, and knowledgeable" women. A majority of these parts were then removed after just two or three seasons. In May 2014, Seehorn was cast in the Breaking Bad spin-off prequel series Better Call Saul. Seehorn plays Kim Wexler (a lawyer) and is the love-interest for the titular Jimmy McGill/Saul Goodman.
