Sarah Hyland

Sarah Hyland was the daughter of actors Melissa D. Canaday (New York City) and Edward James Hyland (New York City). At the age of four she entered the industry with voiceovers as well as commercial work. Private Parts (1997) was her first film. After that, she starred in The Object of My Affection (1998) and then spent time on Another World (1964) as "Rain Wolfe" who was a child that was found in the park and cared for by Josie and Gary. Sarah would work alongside Amy Carlson ("Josie") a few more times: Falcone (2000). Law & Order (1990). Law & Order: Trial by Jury (2005). Sarah was cast as one of the young "Audrey Hepburns" in Jennifer Love Hewitt's The Audrey Hepburn Story (2000) the same year she was cast as "Molly" on ABC's The Wonderful World of Disney: Annie (1999) with Kathy Bates, Audra McDonald, Alan Cumming, Victor Garber and Kristin Chenoweth. She also appeared in Joe Gould's Secret (2000) and Falcone (2000). Sarah studied voice, jazz, hip hop, tap Theatre Dance and voice. She also performed in her tap and Theatre class at "Reel to Real" in Lincoln Center as invited performers. Sarah was born in New York and raised in New York. As a child, she was home-schooled. mother, she attended a public schools until the second grade. When she was in 6th grade, she was accepted into PPAS (Professional Performing Arts School) and stayed there until she graduated in. Sarah was 18 when she relocated to Los Angeles. She landed an aircraft named "My American Family" within two weeks. The name was changed to Modern Family (2009, after Sarah was selected). Sarah is currently "Haley Dunphy", an eldest Dunphy children. Modern Family (2009) won many awards, including the Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series.
