Rashida Jones
Rashida Jones was the younger daughter
and media producer, mogul, Quincy Jones and actress Peggy Lipton. Kidada Jones
is her older sister. She is also the half-sibling of five from her father's
other relationships. Her father is African-American, and her mother Ashkenazi
Jewish (a descendant from the emigrants who emigrated from Russia as well as
Latvia). Rashida was born into Reform Judaism. Her birthplace was Bel Air, Los
Angeles. Jones has said of her mixed race parentage, "It was the 1970s and
it's not even that acceptable for them to be together." Jones has made her
professional acting debut in The Last Don, a mini-series from 1997 based upon
the novel by Mario Puzo. Rashida has also graduated from Harvard University in
1997. She attended the Buckley School in Sherman Oaks (California). Voted the
Most Likely Sufferer. Arabic (O+ O'UO-O(c) (her name) is a reference to
"Major," adult, mature, wise or elder. People Magazine's 50 Most

previously engaged to Mark Ronson (music producer), 25 February 2003. Niece of
Robert Lipton. She has been romantically linked to Josh Hartnett, Charlie
Hunnam, and John Krasinski. She was a vocalist on the song "Tribute
to" Tupac Shakur, who was married to her sister, Kidada Jones. Kidada as
well as Rashida were created by Quincy Jones III, the brother of Quincy Jones
III. Quincy Jones III was also present during the introduction and sang the
lyrics from Shakur's poem "Starry Night." The title of the song was
inspired by the poem. Rashida is an African-American, and has little English,
Scottish, or Welsh ancestry than his mother (some of his African family members
are of the Tikar tribe from Cameroon). Rashida is Ashkenazi Jewish, of Russian
Jewish and Latvian Jewish descent. Her paternal grandparents, who came of South
Carolina, and Mississippi are her paternal grandparents. Her maternal
grandfather was born to New Yorkers, while her maternal grandmother was of
Eastern European Jewish heritage. Since the end of 2009, she was playing three
characters that go by the title "Karen" on cult classic comedy shows
on TV (Freaks and Geeks (1999), Stella (2005) and The Office (2005)).
