Rena Sherel SOFER
Rena Sherel Sofer is an American
actresswho is known for her performances on live television, episodic guest
appearances, as well as made-for-television films. Sofer was given a Daytime
Emmy Award by CBS in 1995, for her portrayal of Lois Cerullo, the role she
played in the soap opera General Hospital. Since 2013, she has been playing
Quinn Fuller on the CBS soap show The Bold and The Beautiful. Sofer was born in
Arcadia (California) to Susan Sofer and Martin Sofer. Martin Sofer is a
Conservative Rabbi. After her parents divorced Sofer's family moved to
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In 1970, Sofer moved with her brother David and her
father to Teaneck in New Jersey. When Sofer was just 5 years old, they resided
in Western Pennsylvania. They were raised in Ambridge, Pennsylvania by their
father, Beth Samuels Jewish Center. She then attended the Frisch School, a
coeducational Mordern Orthodox Jewish high school located in Paramus, New
Jersey. Sofer was born in North Bergen, New Jersey. Her father was the rabbi at
Temple Beth El. She completed her studies at North Bergen High School, then
attended classes at Montclair State College. Sofer was the first to portray
Lois Marie Cerullo at General Hospital. In 1993, she worked as managing a band.
Her first role on television was as Rocky McKenzie, a daytime soap hosting
host. Her most famous role is her part in General Hospital as Lois Cerullo
(December 15, 1993 - September 24, 1996). Later, she was guest star (February
7-17 the month of September, 1997; September 30 until October 2, 1997). Sofer
was awarded the Daytime Emmy Award 1995 for Outstanding Supporting Artistress
in Drama Series for her role as Lois. Sofer was asked to join CBS' soap show
The Bold and the Beautiful in the newly created role in the role of Quinn
Fuller. Her first episode aired on July 12. Sofer has appeared in numerous
popular prime-time television shows in a supporting cast member or guest star
rolesincluding Seinfeld, Melrose Place, The Chronicle, Ed, Friends, Spin City,
Blind Justice, Ghost Whisperer, 24, NCIS, and Two and a Half Men.
