Renee Kathleen Zellweger
Renee Kathleen Zellweger is a daughter of Kjellfrid Andreassen and was a former midwife as well as a nurse in Norway. She was born on April 25 1969, in Katy. Emil Erich Zellweger, her father, is a Swiss-born engineer. The two married in 1963. Drew Zellweger is Renee's brother and was born on the 15th of February 1967. Renee was a part of the drama group at high school and began to be interested in acting. She also took an acting class at the University of Texas (Austin), where she began looking towards acting as a career. She was determined to act when she finished her studies, but Hollywood can be hard to break into. Renee decided not to quit Texas and auditioned in Houston for roles. While working on the sequel to that film, Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation (1994) She made friends with Matthew McConaughey, another Hollywood up-and-comer. Renee was able to observe him working on a project which was of interest to her. She was a part-time auditioner and was chosen for the role in Love and A.45 (1994). It was a success that earned her the critical praise for her to make the decision to move to Los Angeles. Then, she was offered a part in The Whole Wide World (1996) that gave her an opportunity to make her debut as a major actress. Cameron Crowe was busy with casting Jerry Maguire (1996) starring Tom Cruise. Crowe was watching actresses such as Bridget Fonda and Marisa Tomei when they appeared on Zellweger's The Whole Wide World (1996). He auditioned Zellweger and was certain he had discovered his Dorothy Boyd. Renee continued her great success by releasing small independent films. She received further praise from critics and felt confident enough that she was in a position to return to large-budget Hollywood films. Meryl Streep co-starred in One True Thing (1998). She also took a role in Me, Myself & Irene (2000) with Jim Carrey, and soon after began dating Carrey. as the lead in Bridget Jones's Diary (2001).
