Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell was TV personality and former chef in the Institute of Culinary Education and she was formerly an instructor of cooking. Burrell hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Ann Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef and her signature spikey blonde locks and pump up personality, reveals the simplest techniques that anyone could learn. Chef Burrell is also a part of the top New York establishments, studied Italian food as well as its traditions. She also participated in Food Network Iron Chef America. Growing up in upstate New York, Chef Burrell began to develop a love of cooking and food at the age of. The Culinary Institute of America was a natural next step to take after graduating with the Bachelor of Arts degree in English as well as Communications at Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was an amazing adventure for me. It was impossible to learn how to do, or even work hard enough. Following her graduation, Chef Burrell took a gap year to Italy studying at an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners as well as working for La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria as well as La Bottega del 30 a one-Michelin-starred restaurant in Tuscany. Burrell gained a greater understanding of Italian tradition and food while in Italy that has informed her culinary style. Burrell was a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that brightens children who are facing obstacles and is also an Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation celebrity ambassador, where she is an advocate for the awareness of juvenile diabetes. In her capacity as a speaker, Burrell makes trips across the country to speak about her passion for cuisine and to promote her professional career as a chef.
