Magda Apanowicz

Magda Apanowicz (NOH-vitch; Polish: born November 8 the 8th of November, 1985) is a Canadian actor from Canada. Her credits include Andy Jensen, on ABC Family's Kyle XY, and Lacy Rand, who is on Syfy's sluggish science fiction drama series Caprica. Emily Hartwell (born Maya Hartwell), is her science fiction series Continuum. She was a part of the Netflix thriller series You as Sandy. Apanowicz is from Polish descent and spent a time in Poland in the 9th grade. She was brought up by her uncle. She was a student at Jelenia Gora school. She went on to attend Vancouver Film School. Her brother introduced her to Pulp Fiction at the age 10 and she immediately became interested in acting. She began her acting career in 2002 by appearing in Jeremiah and John Doe. In 2007-2009 she played Andy Jensen in Kyle XY. In 2008, she was a part of the Hallmark Channel original movie Every Second Counts.In 2009, Apanowicz was cast as Lacy Rand, a series regular, in the telenovela Caprica which she starred in with Eric Stoltz and Alessandra Torresani. Hellcats was her next film. In 2012, she was cast as Emily in Jane Espenson's second series of her web series of romantic comedy Husbands. In 2013, Apanowicz also played the character of Samantha in The Green Inferno, an Eli Roth horror film. The Green Inferno was originally filmed in 2012. It was released globally in the year 2015. Apanowicz was cast in Volition as Angela. It premiered in 2020. In 2019, Apanowicz played the character of Sandy in the second season of the Netflix thriller You.
